SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — Thermometer readings are going higher – and speedometer readings are right there with them. Sunday’s 70-degree weather awakened hibernating exhibition drivers in Sioux Falls. Police Information officer Aaron Benson says saturation patrols aren’t far behind. Saturation patrols last year resulted in dozens of arrests and hundreds of citations, along with fewer problems with reckless driving on city streets. Police say street racing, exhibition driving and speeding are the most common complaints they handle every year.
