SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — Hiring season is nearly here for Sioux Falls Fire and Rescue. Division Chief Luke Smidt has been with the department for 11 years, and says he has never regretted his move into the department. “We’re looking for individuals who just have a passion for service – a passion for helping other individuals, and have a passion for their community as a whole.” Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, good vision and a valid driver’s license. Candidates must be between the ages of 21 and 44. The application window is April 20th through May 14th.
