SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — You now have more options for your daily commute in Sioux Falls. SAM, the Sioux Area Metro Transit system, has introduced several upgrades in recent months under the management of VIA. VIA’s Sioux Falls manager Emily Shapiro says one big change starting this week is bus service to the Airport.
VIA has initiated a number of changes since taking over management of SAM during the past year. Judging by ridership numbers, they were timely changes. Ridership is up by ten percent. Shapiro says VIA takes a research-based approach when introducing changes, and focuses on keeping an open ear to what riders have to say…
In addition to the new service to the Airport, SAM’s hours of service also expanded at the beginning of the week. You can now hop on board anytime between 6 AM and 7 PM daily.
