SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — South Dakota’s Republican Candidates for Governor meet in the second of three debates Monday night. We’ll also hear from them on KELO-AM 1320 throughout this week, explaining why they believe they’re the right person for the job. We start with incumbent Larry Rhoden, who assumed the office last year in the middle of a contentious legislative battle over a proposed men’s prison. He won approval of the plan during a special legislative session. That process also saw the cost of the facility reduced by $175-million dollars. Governor Rhoden says it’s an accomplishment that shows his ability to bring people together to solve problems.
