PINE RIDGE, SD (KELO.com) — Former Oglala Sioux Tribal President Julian Bear Runner is being released from jail. That comes despite accusations he violated sentencing conditions by using marijuana and falling behind on restitution payments. Bear Runner was convicted two years ago of wire fraud, larceny and embezzlement from an Indian tribal organizations. A final probation hearing is set for July.
