RAPID CITY, S.D. (KELO.com) –The Department of War is investing 25-million dollars into the South Dakota School of Mines.
The investment was announced in a news release on Sunday, saying the investments will go toward technology hubs and new partnerships to develop prototypes within the defense industry.
It will also go to certifying new students with degrees in mining, geology and metallurgy.
The University of Kentucky, Missouri S and T University, Colorado School of Mines and Johns Hopkins University are also receiving eight-figure investments.
