PIERRE, S.D. (KELO.com) – State officials say a cattle herd in Meade County has contracted anthrax.
It’s a problem that becomes a bigger risk in drought conditions.
A number of cattle have died from the bacteria.
Ranchers are being encouraged to vaccinate their herds.
