Drug Take Back Collects Thousands of Prescription Drugs

PIERRE, S.D. (KELO.com) – More than 17,000 pounds of prescription drugs taken out of circulation in the region.

That’s the tally from the recent Drug Take Back Day in the Dakotas, Iowa, Minnesota and Nebraska.

The Drug Enforcement Administration says the bi-annual event reduces the risk of accidental overdoses.
