PIERRE, SD (KELO.com) — Attorney General Marty Jackley is warning about text message scams being sent out by groups posing as government officers. The messages appear to come from law enforcement agencies or circuit courts, claiming the victim faces a fine or arrest for unpaid traffic violations or missed jury duty. Jackley says law enforcement agencies and court offices will never send those types of messages by text.
