SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — A Sioux Falls man has been arrested after an incident involving an EMS employee over the weekend. It happened Saturday on East Arrowhead Parkway and South Foss Avenue. EMS was initially called for a reported medical event. When personnel arrived, the man produced a knife and then attempted to flee. Information Officer Sergeant Aaron Benson says, “EMS employees were attempting to assist the man when he took out a knife and threatened them with it. Officers arriving on the call found a man nearby and were able to place him under arrest.” 24-year old Spencer Thomas of Sioux Falls was arrested on charges of aggravated assault and possession of a controlled substance.
