Email threat against Sioux Valley School in Volga under investigation

VOLGA, SD (KELO.com) — The Brookings County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a threat emailed to a staff member at Sioux Valley School in Volga.  The sheriff’s office says the email contained the statement, “EXPLETIVE is going to happen on May 7.” The threat was reported to the sheriff’s department May 4.  Investigators determined the email came from a Google account created in April 2026 in the Nashville area, but could not find a traceable address.
