CROW CREEK RESERVATION, SD (KELO.com) — A former Crow Creek Sioux Tribal Council member will spend the next year and a half in federal prison for embezzling funds from the tribe. Kyle Loudner and tribal employee Talyn Douville admitted to opening checking accounts within weeks after Loudner was elected in 2022. The two used the accounts to receive $160-thousand over a two year period from government checking accounts. Douville received a six-month prison sentence. Both were ordered to pay restitution.
