BROOKINGS, SD (KELO.com) — South Dakota’s Board of Regents has approved new bachelors, masters and doctoral degree programs in Artificial Intelligence for Dakota State and South Dakota State Universities. Board President Jeff partridge says the programs will prepare students to lead in developing AI technology. SDSU President Barry Dunn says the programs will put engineering students in Brookings at the forefront of cutting edge technology. “The great thing for young people now is, especially in the design courses that we’ll have, they will be the authors of it rather than just the users, and that’s a very exciting place to be.” The new degree programs will be introduced at the Universities this fall.
