UNDDATED (KELO.com) — A homeowner in South-central South Dakota has been keeping a whitetail fawn as a pet – and breaking state law in the process. The fawn was found while cutting hay, and the homeowner decided to keep her, fitting her with a dog harness and leash. Game, Fish and Parks officials say most fawns left alone aren’t abandoned, and their mothers routinely return. They say “if you care, leave it there.”
