CUSTER, S.D. (KELO.com) – Officials at the Jewel Cave National Monument are hoping a mystery animal recently spotted in the park is a porcupine.
No one has received a close enough look to identify a mystery animal lurking in the park.
If it’s a porcupine it would be one of the first sightings since the Jasper Fire in 2000 killed most porcupine habitats in the park.
