SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — Sioux Falls Mayor Christine Erickson’s first week in office was focused on study and transition. The study is on budget matters as she prepares to deliver her first Mayoral Budget message next week. Her transition team is working to identify what’s working and what needs focused attention. “We’re sitting down with each department, fact-finding, making sure that everything is running smoothly, and that all the departments are able to collaborate.” Recognizing the closeness of the election and the potential division it may indicate, Mayor Erickson says she wants to hear from the public, to work on bringing unity to the city.
