WASHINGTON, DC (KELO.com) — Small and Disadvantaged South Dakota communities are getting more than nine-million dollars to help remove so-called “forever chemicals” – PFA’s – from drinking water. PFA’s are contaminants that can cause cancer. The agency says the funding is directed at the communities that need it most. Officials say it’s part of the EPA’s efforts to Make America Healthy Again.
